Emoji donuts


  • 500 gram FunCakes Special Edition Mix for Donuts
  • 215 ml water
  • 65 ml vegetable oil (approx. 55 gram)
  • FunCakes Dip ’n Drip White
  • FunCakes Edible FunColours Gel – Red
  • FunCakes Edible FunColours Gel – Yellow
  • FunCakes Nonpareils Yellow
  • FunCakes Nonpareils Red
  • FunCakes Nonpareils Black
  • Wilton wide glide rolling pin
  • Fryer with vegetable oil
  • Round cookie cutter 7-8 cm
  • Ronde cookie cutter 2 cm
  • Some flour to sprinkle
  • Glass bowls

Knead 500 gram mix, 215 ml water and 65 ml oil with a mixer with dough hook during 5 minutes. Roll out the dough to a thickness of approx. 5 mm. Cut out the donuts and let rest for 25 minutes.

For the best result: Preheat the fryer to 180°C. Bake the donuts for approx. 90 sec per side until golden. Let them cool down.

Divide the jar of dip ‘n drip in two and colour one piece red and the other piece yellow with the colour gel. Heat the dip a bit (approx. 10 seconds) in the microwave until it becomes a bit more liquid. Don’t make it too hot! Dip the donuts in the drip and sprinkle them with the nonpareils.

You can also bake the donuts in the oven. Preheat the oven to 200°C (convection oven 180°C). Put the donust in the donut pan and bake the donuts for approx. 12 minutes until golden. Coat the donuts with melted butter and decorate as desired.
