Cheese sticks with Italian herbs


  • 500 gram FunCakes Mix for Italian Bread
  • 300 ml water
  • 7 gram dried yeast
  • 1 bag of spicy grated cheese
  • 1 bag of grated mozzarella
  • Fresh, finely cut parsley
  • FunCakes Magic Roll-Out Powder
  • Wilton Parchment paper
  • Plastic foil

Add 500 gram Mix for Italian Bread with 7 gram of dried yeast and 300 ml of water to a bowl and mix with a dough hook for 15 minutes until a smooth dough. Then add the biggest part of the spicy grated cheese to the bowl, leaving a little apart to sprinkle on top of the cheese sticks later on, and mix a bit more, so all cheese is absorbed well by the dough. Knead some more by hand and then place the dough in a bowl covered with plastic foil or a dry clean towel and let it rise on a warm spot for 45 minutes.

Cover your work surface with Magic Roll-Out Powder, remove the dough from the bowl, push the air out of the dough and roll it out in a rectangular shape. Cut thin strips of approximately 1,5 cm using a sharp knife and wrap two strips around one another. Place these on a with baking paper covered baking plate, cover with a dry and clean towel and let it rise for another 60 minutes on a warm spot.

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 220°C (convection oven 200°C). Sprinkle de cheese sticks with the remaining spicy cheese and the grated mozzarella an bake for 10-12 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle the fresh finely cut parsley on top of it.
