Make the cookie dough as indicated on the package or in the basic recipe and place the cookie dough wrapped in cling film for an hour in the refrigerator to allow it to stiffen. Preheat the oven to 180°C (hot air 160°C). Knead the dough from the refrigerator firmly and roll it out to a thickness of about 2-3 mm on a floured working surface. Cut out stars and numbers and place them on a baking tray covered with parchment paper. For the star cookies you can see on the image, you need a 9cm whole star and one 9cm star that has a star hole in it, cut out with the 3cm star cutter.
Bake the cookies in about 10-12 minutes golden yellow and let them cool.

Make the Royal Icing mix as shown on the package or in this basic recipe and color it green. Put this in a disposable piping bag with tip # 5. Sprinkle the disco mix in a bowl and brush the number cookies with a thin layer of piping gel. Dip the cookies in the disco mix until they are completely covered and put them away.
To make the star birthday cookies. Place a whole star cookie with the right side on the table and brush a thin layer of piping gel in the middle. Pipe small dots with the royal icing along the edge and carefully press the cookie with the hole in it on top. Brush the cutting edges of the hole with a little piping gel and fill it with a scoop of disco mix. Shake it back and forth and then throw the excess back into the bowl.

Quantity: around 20 cookies.
